Background
Nova
Singers is a vocal group founded in the mid-nineties. Its repertoire consist
mainly of unforgettable jazz evergreens.
The group's main setup is eight singers, three male and five female voices. The group has performed
in Finland and had concerts in Poland.
During the last few years
Nova Singers has often participated in international vocal group contests,
like Tampereen Sävel, which is considered a very high level music
happening, and scoring among the best.
The group rehearses new repertoire
continuously, makes recording in the studio and is constantly co-operating
with the Rantakylä Big Band. The conductor of Nova Singers is Krystian
Tesarczyk, a multi-instrumentalist and full-time music teacher at Mikkeli
Open College.
